The "Rain" collection from Studio D'Artisan pays homage to the centuries-old Japanese craftsmanship of indigo-dyeing and sashiko embroidery. It embodies the cultural significance of indigo-dyed textiles as everyday attire in Japan.A key element in this collection is the iconic "Ame Gasuri" or "Rain Kasuri" fabric, renowned for its delicate and captivating patterns inspired by falling raindrops. The intricate weaving process, using Kasuri threads exclusively in the warp, produces a distinct effect of organic, broken lines that resemble rainfall. This traditional Japanese design serves as a tangible connection to the country's rustic landscapes and invites wearers to embrace the beauty of nature. This particular fabric is is closer to a true sashiko with contrasting threads of various thickness running throughout whereas the previous "Rain" Type 1 is  a true selvage denim.
