1955Z Cut- 14oz Indigo Denim (SC42955A)
This zipper fly model was released in the mid-1950s with the intention of selling to the eastern United States as fashion wear rather than work wear. In the mid-1960s, a model using shrink-proof denim appeared, but at this time the same fabric as the button fly was still used. The models of this era are characterized by the extremely short thick stitching on the sides and the belt loop in the center of the back, which is offset to the left to avoid the thick part for production efficiency and thread saving. The belt loop is reproduced even in the part that uses lighter ounce denim than the body, following the vintage pairs. The silhouette is a regular straight similar to the 1947 model. The denim fabric is made from scratch with new threads and dyed based on the vintage for this model, so it has a different atmosphere from the 1947 model. The zipper is a brass pinlock type GRIPPER ZIPPER. Since it is made of cotton tape, it can be expected to age like denim.
