Crafted using the traditional Japanese "Kasezome" dyeing method, the new "Kaki-Kyoku" Denim from Studio D'Artisan has a one-of-a-kind texture. The warp yarns are carefully dyed with natural Kakishibu (Persimmon fruit) to create a perfect blend of No. 6 slub and nep yarn, accentuating the fabric's pronounced and irregular feel. To add to its rugged and raw appearance, the weft yarns are crafted with a No. 5 "super slub" yarn, pushing the looms to their limits. This unique texture not only results in a heavy and durable fabric, but also showcases the impeccable craftsmanship synonymous with Japanese denim. To honor the traditional Japanese "Kakinoha" (persimmon leaf), the Selvedge ID features an original pattern, paying homage to the centuries-old Japanese dyeing culture.
